Today was the warm-up before the game.
We had an orientation meeting for the House of Deputies (comprised of both lay and clergy deputies from each Diocese).
Here’s a pic of Boo Penniwell, SC Deputy from Holy Cross at the entrance to the main hall:

The hall is massive and we are seated by Diocese. South Carolina’s table is right down front, literally, just a few feet from the dias:

Here’s a shot of our deputation:

Large screens fill the front. Here’s a deputy from Minnesota. I guess they wear interesting headware in the land of ice and snow:

The Rev’d Gay Jennings, a deputy from the Diocese of Ohio, and the Canon the the Ordinary (Personnel department) when I was in Ohio led us through the orientation. Gay ran a great convention when I was in the Diocese of Ohio. She did a good job walking us through the parlimentary issues here as well:

Lastly, here’s what we vote with – apparently, it will give instantaneous results viewable on the screens:

Well, the fun starts tomorrow. I am a legislative monitor for the “World Missions” committee. We’ll see what that means.
Good night from Anaheim

God bless you!
Dear Steve,
We’ve got your back. Will be eager to hear what the LOrd gives you for His message.
