This will be short. Today was a good day. I had a nice long nap this afternoon and getting out last night was fun – even though the Yanks lost.
At Convention today we spent all of our legislative time working through the resolutions placed on the Calendar of Consent and the Daily Calendar. These were tedious. We have pages of them. We also had two more elections. We voted on Trustees for the Pension fund and candidates to comprise the court for a trial of a bishop.
The opening round of fireworks should begin tomorrow night as revisions to Title IV come to the floor. Tomorrow night I will also be the interviewee for the Stand Firm’s nightly webcast. It will be streamed live but for the East Coast it’ll be late. The interview will be archived on the Stand Firm site. Check them out here.

Tomorrow is a very slow day. Various meetings but no legislative committee hearings and no legislative sessions until 2.oo pm. I’m taking the chance to slip up to Beverly Hills for the night. A friend of mine is in town for business and he invited me up his hotel, the Andaz on Sunset Boulevard – used to be the “Riot Hyatt” – pretty cool, check it out. More tomorrow.
Thanks for prayers and notes of encouragement. They mean quite a bit to me and the SC deputies on the floor.
Good night from Anaheim (Beverly Hills).
