Having posted a video clip of the man and his comments this past week, here’s an update:
President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.
Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs” with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.

Resigned – in these times a subject line like that is a real eye catcher to say the least.

We as Christians are imperfect and imperfectly reflecting instruments of God’s will. Political aides are imperfect tools of. . . other politicians. . .
To be fair it must not be easy. Watching such gaffes reminds me of the one time I saw coverage of the preliminary rounds (vs. the final medal rounds) of Winter Olympics figure skating. The egregious stumbles and falls of the vast majority of contenders made me appreciate how difficult the sport was in a way that the seemingly effortless performances of the medalists never could.
They must feel like Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) in Monster’s Inc. when Roz warned him “I’m watching you, Wazowski, ALWAYS WATCHING YOU. . .”

Question – How much did Barack Obama know about Van Jones before he appointed him …..? Is Obama blind? Naive? Or completely calculating? FYI – I believe Glenn Beck was the only guy ringing the bell initially about Van Jones. At first Beck was losing advertisers over the matter. Now Jones resigns. You tell me.
