April 2010 Congregational Letter

Dear Steve+,

Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ, the only Lord and only Savior of the world!

It is with joy that I hereby receive St. Andrew’s Church into the Diocese of the Holy Spirit and the Anglican Church in North America.

I also receive you and your assisting clergy as priests in good standing in the Diocese of the Holy Spirit and the Anglican Church in North America.

St. Andrew’s is a parish that is known for its passion for the Kingdom of God. Your commitment to truth, justice and mercy reflect the heart of Jesus to a world that is perishing without Him. Your hunger for the fullness of the Holy Spirit allows the Lord to work His transforming power through you to the broken and needy. Your zeal for missions and church planting are extending the Kingdom in your community and around the world.

It is my prayer that in our service together in this new Province, we will in all things honor the Lord, for as the Apostle Paul wrote, “We preach not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Corinthians 4:5).

I look forward to being with you all on April 28.
