I think we should all remember that the Lord has brought us to this point and will not "leave us or forsake us". If you believe that His plan for us is to leave TEC then know that He will fulfill His purposes and keep His promises. He will guide us and protect us as we walk through the process. He never said it would necessarily be easy (although He could choose to make it so!).

Seems the PB thinks of herself as more than "first among equals" and wants us to play by her dictatorial rules, making them up as she goes, relying on sneakiness and legal intimidation. I did not know each diocese was Soveriegn, but surely she should. Maybe she should bone up a little more on the canons she claims to operate from. It reminds me of Paul having Roman citizenship and being rescued from the Jews by the most unlikely of people, a Roman Centurion who knew the law. The law is a double-edged instrument, and I'm thankful for wise leaders with cool heads and Christian lawyers who know both the law and the prophets. I'll stop telling lawyer jokes in their honor.

So, according to the power brokers at TEC, clergy can't even engage in the debate with their parishes about leaving TEC without being "disciplined" (Tisdale letter on Threatened Depatures). There is no action for clergy who speak against the basic tenents of Christian faith, but let one of them engage openly in discussion about leaving the club and she's hiring lawyers . . . incredible! I am SOOO needing help with Matthew 5:44 right now.

Since St. Andrews has not left the Diocese - and therefore TEC - it might be interesting to see if our narcissistic PB will attempt to take action against us individually. Since she recognizes no boundaries of canon law, civil law or for that matter truthfulness and personal integrity regarding her vows, I wonder if she is deluded enough to 'invade' the diocesan eclesiastical and geographical territory by singling out individual parishes.

She already seems unaware that we have a Bishop. Might set an interesting precedent that would undermine her strident whining about outside provinces invading Her personal fiefdom here in the US.

Dealing with her seems to resemble negotiations with Ahmadinijad (sp?)- another pathological liar with too much authority and power. Nearly every utterance from her leads me to try to identify which personality disorder or other new pathology is rearing its fascinating head. It is sadly becoming too time-consuming a hobby to pursue properly.

I think she knows the boundary, and as with passings at the GC09, just chooses to ignore them.

For progress, of course.

None of this is a surprise to God. We need to continue to keep the faith handed down to us.

"...unprecedented incursion..." are key words in the attendant letter. It's worth reading all of it.
