One of the many reasons it’s nice to have a young staff is that in their free time they come up with this kind of thing:
I was curious who still had the best chance of winning the staff bracket, so I wrote a small program to calculate all the possibilities.
Here are the results:
Out of 128 possible outcomes through the rest of the tournament,
Steve wins 54 (42.2%)
John Pawley wins 34 (26.6%)
Joe wins 17 (13.3%)
Dave wins 14 (10.9%)
John Burley wins 3 (2.3%)
Also, in 6 possible outcomes (4.7%), Steve and John B are tied for the win.
No one else has a single chance of winning.

Not to be picky, but what does a statistical analysis have to do with age?
Sincerely,
Old person
I thought you had picked KU to win???
I doubt anyone over the age of 35 on my staff could “write the small program” to do the statistical analysis.
Of course, once the program is written anyone can do the analysis.
Michelle, winning the bracket is based on how many point one accrues for victories. Losing KU hurt but the rest of my bracket has done ok.
Ok everybody, sing along!
