I am always amazed at the number of exceptionally gifted people in the church who are willing to offer themselves as candidates for Vestry service. Much is expected of our Vestry candidates: they must be in a LifeGroup, they must tithe, they must be involved in some area of service back to the body, they must be willing to commit to two Vestry meetings a month, and the list goes on. Why such a high bar of commitment? Because it’s both a significant position of leadership as well as one of influence – demonstrating what a maturing follower of Christ looks like. This year, once again, we had exceptional candidates for Vestry. And to Chris Biggers, Mitchell Bohannon, Mikell Murry and David Nicole, both your parish and I thank you for your willingness to serve this body by standing for election. The four persons who were elected and their bio information may be found here.
