If I were to follow his commands, I would have to take it seriously that I am an animal. Since animals do not have a moral code, what is the point of the other 9 commands? Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die.
But seriously, Hitchens does what so many other critics of the faith do. He begins with an, at best, poor analysis of what the scriptures say, then proceeds to build his argument on those false premises. It is not possible to arrive at truth when one begins with falsehood. How sad.
