Here is a great YouTube clip featuring Taylor Mali from Def Poetry Season 2 on our being “the most aggressively inarticulate generation to come along since, you know, a long time ago!”
Steve,
Sally battles this every day at Wando in her English classes. However, having spent last weekend with Wando’s Mock Trial Team in Columbia at the state competition, I can tell you there is hope for the next generation. Ya know?

I, like, don’t see the problem, ya know?
Actually, that is quite impressive on two fronts:
1) dorky white guy with a Scrabble shirt slays a crowd at Def Poetry Jam
2) “aggressively inarticulate” is a perfect phrase to summarize what’s happening.
Here’s a question, though: I’ve often come across people that speak very poorly but their written communication is excellent. What’s going on there?
