I was thrilled to receive the news that yesterday afternoon the Provincial Council of the Anglican Church in North America officially and unanimously accepted our application as a Diocese in Formation (here’s a link to the ACNA announcement).
This is the penultimate step completing the good – and hard – work of many people throughout the Carolinas these past 10 months.
Additionally, I have been appointed as Vicar General for the Diocese of the Carolinas. In that role my primary responsibility will be to see through to completion, God-willing next summer, the final steps of formation which will include a bishop’s search process, so that we might be formally received as a Diocese in good standing.
So, much work ahead. However, much to rejoice in as well.
I’ll keep you posted as we progress in our work.

Blessings and best wishes from a fellow Anglican of another jurisdiction! I look forward to hearing of your progress.
Very exciting. Congratulations! I hope that ties are strengthened with the other ACNA Diocese with a strong presence in the Carolinas (particularly in South Carolina).
