From Rob Sturdy:
A good friend in Charleston recently asked the question “What does it mean to be Reformed?” That question sparked this most recent series on AwakeningGrace which I suspect will go on for several weeks if not months.

In the previous post I examined how an individual’s experience of the sovereign grace of God through Jesus Christ creates a desire in the human heart to live for the glory of God. In this post I would like to examine a bit more closely the most common means by which this happens.

What does if mean to be a true christian, or do you believe that to be synonymous w/reformed?
Now, that’s an awesome post bro… Thanks
I don’t know any reformed folks who think that those outside the reformed camp are not believers…if this is your point. Most evil Calivinists believe it is difficult to maintain a consistent metanarrative w/out being reformed.
However, in the current evangelical climate in the US your question is a good one. Perhaps we should start there. What it means to be a true Christian is answered in the text of scripture not in how we may feel some experience change our lives. Oure experiences are real but don’t define how salvation happens. A reformed soteriology is one of the few systems that lets the text speak for itself. The previous post by our Malawaiin brother is a good example of what true christianity is/is not. BTW Mark, did you read all 3 posts by Rob Sturdy??
